The Peter Danes Pavilion
Thanks to an incredible legacy from lifelong village resident and club member Peter Danes we are now rebuilding our pavilion following the storms of winter 2020.
Set in the beautiful countryside of Nazeing Common, the spacious pavilion and bar will be ideal for local families, groups and societies. It will be an incredible, all year round facility the whole community can access when it opens during the 2024 season.
This is your chance to help. We are asking all those who are able to, to buy a ‘brick’ and donate to Nazeing Common Cricket Club.
We are a thriving village cricket club situated in beautiful countryside on the Herts-Essex border.
We welcome all cricketers whatever their ability, age, ethnicity, background or gender and are always on the look out for new members - playing or non-playing.
Junior Cricket
Our junior section has been in place for nearly 30 years and is run by fully qualified, DBS checked coaches. We aim to teach children the fundamentals of cricket in a safe environment. Children from aged 5 upwards are welcome to attend.
Training and match schedules for the 2024 season will be announced nearer the time.
Our Teams
We put out three teams every weekend: two league sides on a Saturday and friendly XI on a Sunday. All fixtures are local to Essex, Herts and North London.
We also run an annual tour to Sussex and in recent years have travelled to Portugal and Belgium to play cricket.
